Wonder Years Radio is a weekly podcast that reaches moms with elementary school-aged children. We discuss issues important to those children going to public or private schools.

If you have a program or product that would help mothers and/or children in the kindergarten through fifth grade age group, then we would love to hear more about you and possibly schedule a guest appearance.

Please keep in mind that products that are not family-friendly or that do not serve this target market will not be accepted and this is at the discretion of the producer.

If you would like to request an interview, please send us an email  with “Interview Request” in the subject line. Please also include your topic suggestion, how this can help our listeners, your bio and website information.

Preparing for Your Guest Appearance

Interviews will be scheduled approximately 2-3 weeks before the show’s air date at a time that is convenient to both host and guest. These are prerecorded phone calls and a land line provides the best audio quality.

If at any time during the interview you get nervous or tongue-tied or need to collect your thoughts, it’s OK to tell the host you need a break. This is the beauty of editing! Any long silences or side conversations can easily be edited out of the final show.

A certain amount of editing does occur for each episode but this is to provide the best audio quality possible. We do not edit the content of the interview.

Questions will be provided to each guest prior to the interview. If you have certain talking points that you would like to cover, please be sure these are sent to the host at least 24 hours prior to the interview. You should allow a minimum of 20 minutes for your interview but if it’s going well and you have a lot of info to share, it could easily run longer. If the interview runs very long (35+ minutes) then the interview may be split and made into two episodes.

If you have a sample of your product that you would like to give away to one lucky listener, please inform the host at least one week prior to your interview so contest details can be worked out.

After the Interview

You will be notified when your interview will air and the interview will be available for at least one year in our archives. Your website will be linked in the show notes at www.wonderyearsradio.com and also at www.themomcast.com and your guest appearance will also be promoted to our email list.

In return, please consider promoting your appearance on Wonder Years Radio to your own email list and/or on the front page of your website with a link to www.wonderyearsradio.com If you prefer to have a button ad, let us know and we can send that graphic to you. This type of cross-promotion can be a WIN-WIN situation for us both!
